Aunty Nita’s specializes in tours in the “Coloured” areas of the Cape Flats. We visit the Forgotten Heroes in Athlone which focuses on the role of the youth of the Cape Flats in our Liberation Struggle. We also do an Unsung Heroes tour into Hanover Park, where we strive to change the narrative about life on the Cape Flats, by sharing about the positive stories and role models that are coming out of this area.
Since I cut my teeth as a Tourist Guide doing Walking Tours in the Mother City, this is still a favourite pastime. I do 90-minute free walking tours from African Gems and Minerals, on Green Market Square, on request.
