Simply Complex Africa: 2nd Annual Movement

Reimagining Prosperity for Africa through connection, creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and collaboration.
From Fragment to Connection.
What if Africa’s prosperity is not something we wait for, but something we build together?
Simply Complex Africa: 2nd Annual Movement brings people from across Africa and the diaspora together in Cape Town for two days focused on connection, opportunity and new possibilities.
Taking place on 22 and 23 September 2026 at Youngblood-Africa, the experience brings together youth, entrepreneurs, creatives, investors and ecosystem builders to explore new approaches to prosperity and how stronger connections can turn ideas into meaningful action.
This is designed as an interactive experience rather than a traditional sit-down conference. Across the programme, participants can discover emerging ventures and creative work, hear from young innovators, contribute ideas, meet potential collaborators and engage in conversations around Africa’s future.
The programme includes a Marketplace of Possibility, youth-led podcasts and storytelling, live technology and creative hackathons, entrepreneur showcases, pitches and opportunities for collaboration.
A central part of the experience is the Prosperity Quest, inviting participants to contribute their ideas and commitments, while the Prosperity Canvas provides a space to turn collective thinking into visible possibilities for the future.
The two-day programme moves from participation and discovery into deeper conversations and action, creating opportunities to connect with founders, funders, mentors, makers, artists and young innovators.
Whether you are building a business, developing an idea, investing in innovation, creating new work or looking for meaningful connections across Africa, Simply Complex Africa offers a space to participate in the conversation and help shape what comes next.
